Five steps

What happens, and when

1. Request a quote
Based on sizes and requirements, often within a few hours. If you do not have exact sizes yet, approximate ones are enough to start.

2. Free survey
We arrange it within 24-48 hours. This is where the real opening size, the installation method and everything that moves the price come to light.

3. Final quote
Itemised: window or door, hardware, glazing, installation, and options listed separately.

4. Manufacturing
Made to measure, typically three to six weeks. We give the exact date after the order is confirmed, not before.

5. Removal and installation
One to two days for an average flat. Removing the old units is our job.

The most common slippage is caused not by the manufacturing but by the sizes. That is why we insist on an on-site survey, even if you have already measured up.

We break it down into items so that you only pay for what you need, and so that you can compare it with other quotes. A single lump sum cannot be compared.

Worth knowing in advance

Three things that tend to hurt later

Blocks of flats. A like-for-like replacement is usually not subject to permit, but the uniform look of the facade can be binding, and the consent of the building manager is normally needed. Settle this before you settle the colour.

The opening direction. It cannot be changed after manufacturing. We record it at the survey and it appears in the quote, so there are no questions later.

The installation method. Foam-only and RAL tape vapour-sealed installation are not the same thing. The first is always included; we recommend the second where the moisture physics call for it.

What most people ask

How much does a window and door replacement cost?

The size, the profile system, the glazing and the hardware decide it, so without a survey only a misleading figure could be given. Our quote sets out item by item what costs what, and the installation appears on a separate line too.

How long does the whole thing take?

From quote to installation typically four to seven weeks. Of this, manufacturing is three to six weeks and installation one to two days in an average flat.

Do I have to move out while the work is done?

No. We work room by room, and no opening is left open overnight.

Does the replacement need a permit?

A like-for-like replacement usually is not. In a block of flats the consent of the building manager and the uniform look of the facade can be binding, and if you enlarge the opening then different rules apply; in that case we tell you in advance.

What happens to the old windows?

The strip-out is our job; taking away the rubble is a separate item. If you deal with it yourself, you do not pay for it.

Should I choose double or triple glazing?

Triple glazing insulates better, so lower bills and greater comfort, but in return it is heavier and more expensive. We quote both in the offer so that you see the difference in forints rather than deciding on a hunch.
