This is what it looks like inside

A centre-seal system with six chambers. With the right glazing the U-value of the window goes down to 0.78 W/m²K, and it takes glazing up to 50 mm thick, so triple glazing fits comfortably.

The actual U-value comes from the chosen glazing and the size of the unit together, which is why we write it out in the quote, item by item.

Window replacement and refurbishment

What comes with the installation

With us window replacement comes from one hand: we take out the old unit, we fit the new one, with fixings every 70 centimetres and foam sealing. You do not have to coordinate two teams.

We give a 5-year guarantee on the installation. We have been working since 2004, with 4816 windows and doors fitted behind us.

If you are planning a refurbishment, it is worth looking at shading at the same time: it means one call-out and one making good. The front door can go into the same quote too.

The profile can be ordered in white and with foil. The foil can be on the outside only, with white inside, or on both sides. The full range is shown in the table below and on the manufacturer's official colour chart.

Walnut and golden oak are the most frequent choices, because they are the wood-effect colours with the most favourable surcharge. Cream white and anthracite are the two most sought-after plain colours.

Source: the official, complete Kömmerling laminate colour chart, valid from 1 July 2026, with 73 colours. Most of the sample images are the foil manufacturer's own product photographs (Renolit or skai), because those are sharper than the print of the colour chart; we compared each one individually against the sample on the chart. For seven colours the foil manufacturer does not provide a photograph of the exact decor, so the image of the closest variant stands there, for guidance only. The code is the manufacturer's own colour designation. This range applies to Kömmerling profiles; with another manufacturer's system the palette differs. The colour you see on screen is never accurate, which is why we bring an original colour sample to the survey. The coloured version carries a surcharge, which you see on a separate line in the quote.
