Outside the city is noisy, inside you would like to rest. How much of it you hear is decided by the profile and the glazing together; neither is enough on its own.
At the survey we look at the real noise load and tell you from that which glazing is justified. We do not sell you a more expensive one if there is no point to it.
Request a free quoteAn old window takes a noticeable share of the heating bill, and not primarily through the glass: the frame and the poor fit are the main routes. A modern system closes off both of those.
That is why we quote the figure for the window, not for the frame. The lower the U-value the better: our range goes down to 0.56 W/m²K, which is passive-house level, while entry systems are around 1.1. We tell you at the survey which one belongs where.
The glass does not decide everything on its own. Good glass with bad installation still lets the cold in beside the reveal, so the installation method counts for just as much as the unit you order.
